Barosi presents the Himalayan Gruyere Cheese from Darima Farms.
Nestled in the pristine environs of the Kumaon Himalayas, Darima Farms was established in the year 2016. Named after the village Darima, it is situated at an altitude of 7000 ft and is surrounded by thick oak and rhododendron forest. Their cheeses are made without the use of any chemicals, preservatives, emulsifiers and fillers.
Inspired by the Swiss Gruyere, this cheese boasts a sweet nutty flavor which gets stronger and complex when aged longer – between 3 to 15 months.
Serving Suggestions: Bread, fruit and mustard. Traditionally used as a melting cheese with Emmental for cheese fondue it works well for grilling in sandwiches too. Use it in baking quiches, cheese puffs, frittatas, cheese soufflés, and omeletes
